As a wedding planner, I love editorials because they give me the opportunity to push creative boundaries and explore unique styles. This contemporary concept at The Emerson was an opportunity to play with a modern aesthetic: clean lines, a black and white color palette, and an artistic floral headpiece.
This bridal editorial explores the idea of whitespace: the intentional “breathing room” in a composition. It provides visual rest for the eye—creating balance and drawing focus to the subject within it. Whitespace sets the tone for our contemporary bride: refined, striking, and regal.
This session captures the carefully selected details of a sacred occasion: the purposeful details that a bride has chosen to represent her wedding day. The concept is pared down to only the most intentional elements, in order to emphasize each component of the composition: the bride’s striking eyes, a distinctive headpiece, her delicate ring.
In every image, whitespace refines our focus and draws attention to the deliberate details of a bride’s precious wedding day. It bypasses the extraneous in favor of the extraordinary.
